So now plain language from woman to hi-fi maniac. Since I already know more about hi-fi systems than I ever wanted to know through my “crazy” husband... he has provided all the evidence that cables can really make a difference and it DOESN'T matter how a plug is plugged into the socket... the sound was still not good enough for him! I came home one evening and we had new roommates again. He proudly showed me his latest achievement: The Composant S for preamps and controllers (McIntosh), Trinity MCF for CD player and multi-channel prepress oak was immediately impressed by the really “amazing look” of these parts and I couldn't keep my hands off the polished slate plates that felt like silk and was finally happy that he had picked up something really nice!!! And really excited about the sound with these bases! So everything was installed, plugged in the CD and off we went... with the drama... I carefully asked if it was possible that some cable was plugged in incorrectly? Or anything else? For songs where I normally have goosebumps... as if someone had put a towel over the speakers. (There was none there, of course.) The music sounded much more precise, but somehow the emotion was gone. Me: totally unhappy He: Call for help by email to Mr. Schlipper. There was immediate feedback and he really thought about what was wrong here... tinkered around for us at home and then packed a magic box and did “emergency service” with us over the weekend! It is truly amazing that something like this still exists. You always think, pay and stop - but not with Mr. Schlipper! In short, you should definitely not place the devices on the bases on their own (factory) feet! *** Note: Cushioning feet - in this case made of hollow plastic and foam rubber - were the problem here. On a neutral floor space, you can hear their damping effect. ***With his emergency coupler feet (available as an option from 09/2011 - Composant CF), we suddenly had a sound here that is completely indescribable... at least I can't... but my husband will do that separately. :-) Then came the OBERHAMMER!!! Mr. Schlipper began to distribute wooden balls and cylinders (HiFine) everywhere and suddenly I had the feeling that the music was all around me, wasn't coming flat from the front, but simply became much more spacious! Unfortunately he had to go home himself at some point... and the wood went with him. The change when removing is immediately audible and it is inexplicable and absolutely fascinating! Everyone can imagine how the whole thing turned out! We are incredibly happy and now have an excellent sound experience with the bases, Trinity MCF and the HiFine spheres, which have recently also been decorating the living room with my permission. Because I can't get enough of listening to music here anymore. It's a shame that you have to go to sleep sometime. All in all: Unbelievable service for incredible goods! The term service now has a new dimension for me and actually each of you would rather buy Composant S, Trinity MCF and HiFine bullets before investing in expensive cables or sockets. But... I have no idea about something like that. ;-) (report from the man) Looking for the best sound... Hello Mr. Schlipper, as a music lover and hifi player, I would like to say thank you very much for your excellent advice in advance and, of course, for the result of the various measures achieved today! In recent years, I've often been looking for ways to improve the sound of my hi-fi system. Many cables were tried out, CD players, amplifiers and preamps were replaced and Voodoo products were tried out. I noticed that unfortunately the enjoyment of music was sometimes neglected. There is certainly a lot of interest and fun in trying out new things. That is part of my hobby. But today I am especially happy and enjoy every evening of music together with my wife. Dear Mr. Schlipper, it was absolutely fascinating to see what changes its components bring about. I would like to share my experiences with you. I use the Composant S for the two-piece preamp. The Trinity MCF for the CD player. The use of these products has already significantly changed the sound image. The music is more audible. Details of the music and voices are better worked out and the staggering of the instruments on stage is easier and, above all, precisely perceptible. For me, the effect of the changed positioning of the coupler/set-up and the Trinity McF was particularly fascinating. The sound image opened up, became wider and snapped in perfectly at the ideal position. Many years of investment in devices and cables make you overlook how important it is to install the components. Unfortunately, this is far too often underestimated! For me, the improvement provided by the two products is comparable to replacing my preamp with the significantly improved/more expensive two-piece preamp. Congratulations again, your products have component status! (At least...) It's nice that the prices at least don't have the status of my components. As a second step, I received the two bases for the tube power amplifiers (Subbase écho) last week. Here, too, the product quality is excellent. Unfortunately, this is rarely seen today. The musical changes/improvements are similar to the preamp. As also explained in the image-hifi test report, this is obviously reproducible for every device. For me, the change was even more significant than with the preamp. Instruments were better worked out, voices that had not been heard before were suddenly there. We listened to the latest ZAZ CD the day before. My wife and I just looked at each other in amazement. A background voice was there and was clearly audible, which remained silent the day before. In the third step, we received the Hifine balls. Thank you once again for the fascinating demonstration. For me, Hifine balls are the first non-“ voodoo product” that bring a very significant, pleasant change. As my wife has already described, we dive into the music acoustically. The sound image of the stage is shifted towards the listener, creating a live spatial atomic sphere. What can I say, just try it out, then it's understandable.
