Sternklang Ephemera speaker cable
Hello Mr. Schlipper,
First of all, I would like to thank you for providing a test sample of the Sternklang LS cable. As you know, I came across this cable through word of mouth. I was actually done with the cable topic in my system because I had found the right cables for me and was very satisfied with them. But I kept hearing a lot of good things about Sternklang and didn't really want to believe the consistently good descriptions. According to the motto, “Yeah, tell me more...” and “I don't need anything new...”.
And then I wanted to hear the sound of the Sternklang cable myself in my own system. I wanted to be able to have a say. And I was also ready to invest again. My previous LS cable, a White Bird from Colors of Sound, has found its master with the Ephemera. As you also know from my description of the Groundbox and Refine grounding cables, I really appreciate a neutral rendering without effects. The White Bird was way ahead for me in this regard, but the Ephemera goes one step further, it sounds even more homogeneous. It has the ability to place music in my space even more naturally and vividly. With good recordings, the result is a realism that has not yet been heard. It also has a fantastic resolution and therefore even 'difficult' music material from CD and vinyl can be listened to. However, nothing is softened or concealed. All tones are incredibly clean, precise and therefore appear as though the surface has been deburred and polished. The entire presentation appears incredibly pure, but not clean and sterile. Quite the opposite. There is body, volume, color and really great flow in the music. And time and again, it is the plasticity of the sounds that inspires me.
The Ephemera is a top cable. And that at a fair rate. It stays here!!!
Best regards
